Job Responsibilities

• Provide companionship by talking to, playing games with, or going for walks with clients
• Help clients with tasks related to hygiene, such as bathing, brushing teeth, and going to the bathroom
• Help transfer clients from a bed to a wheelchair or vice versa
• Complete housekeeping tasks, such as changing bed linens, washing dishes, and cleaning living areas
• Help to prepare and plan meals
• Organize a client’s schedule and plan appointments
• Escort clients to medical facilities and prescription pick ups
• Shopping for personal items and groceries
• Caring for and assisting clients with cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer’s or mental illness
• Ensure client safety and security by supervising the home environment.
• Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures and practices.

Qualifications

• A car, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
• Must pass a criminal and Department of Motor Vehicles background check
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing

Experience

• Personal Care Aids or Certified Nursing Assistants. Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required
